WELLNESS AT HOME

WELLNESS AT HOME SC UPDATED

Wellness isn’t just about yoga and green smoothies. It’s not a practice outside of yourself it’s integrated within your day to day life. We know first hand it can be challenging to create a space of wellness when your schedule is super packed so we will share a few things that are easy and really simple that we incorporate in our day.

Make Your Bed Daily: This is a big one for us. Making our bed allows us to be mindful of our space. We don’t have a lot of furniture in our apartment so when we want to sit or lay down our bed is our go to. It’s important for us to keep it a neat and clean space.

Meditation: This one is super simple and can be done anywhere. There are tons of free meditation apps on your phone or you can do simple breathing techniques. This is something we do around the afternoon.

Pamper Yourself: If you read the blog post about taking care of yourself here you would know that we love doing face masks and Kombucha at the end of the week on Friday to relax and rejuvenate ourselves.

Exercise: It’s important to get your body moving each day. Whether it is walking or joining a group class make it a priority to move your body!

Drink Water: When heading out to classes and work we always bring water with us. Not only does it prevent dehydration, it hydrates your skin!

Rest: It’s important for us to get sleep. Not only does it help with quieting our mind and improving our memory it also helps us not be cranky in the morning!

The main takeaway of wellness is that it doesn’t have to be expensive. All these things can be done at home. When we talk about wellness it always starts in your inner world into your outer world. It’s nice to have a green smoothie or go to acupuncture but you don’t need those things to have a thriving and effective wellness practice!

Lots of love,

Jasmine and Phrieda
