HOW TO DEAL WITH ANXIETY

HOW TO DEAL WITH ANXIETY SC
We personally deal with this from time to time and most likely you have dealt with too. The formal definition of anxiety is the feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome. When you are in an anxious state you are not present. You are worried about the outcome of past or future events. One of the most effective ways to get rid of your anxious state is by grounding yourself. Grounding yourself is any activity or action that allows you to be present.  Below will be 3 step guide on how to effectively deal with anxiety.

How To Deal With Anxiety

  1. Identify The Trigger: When you get into an anxious state there always a trigger. Figure what the event or circumstance that caused you to be anxious.
  2. Feel Your Feelings: When you identify the trigger you may be yourself up about it which only intensifies the feelings you are already feeling. Don’t fight your emotions “feel” your way out of it.
  3. Ground Yourself: As mentioned above find ways that can help you become present. Grounding techniques such as stepping into nature or going for a walk are great ways to get present.

When dealing with being in the anxious state it is important to be patient with yourself. Try not get so caught up with trying to “cure” your anxiety.  Chances are you may find yourself in an anxious state but you have ways to effectively deal with it once that state is triggered.  Looking at things objectively can help with the “what and whys” of your state. Every emotion has something to teach us and rather trying to suppress those that feel draining embrace them fully.

Lots of love,
